    St Bart's News

The latest information about school and our community

    Dear Families and Friends,

As we enter the final week of the academic year, I have spent a few minutes reflecting on some of the wonderful moments we’ve shared at St Bart's this week.

A huge well done to our oldest pupils, who performed a truly spectacular production of Peter Pan on Thursday and Friday evenings. The show was witty, beautifully choreographed, and full of energy. The children shone in their roles, and the front and backstage team of staff were simply brilliant. Thank you to everyone involved for creating such a memorable experience for us all and for each audience for supporting the children so well.

Our Year 3 and 4 Football Team finished the season undefeated, winning the league! What a fantastic achievement that reflects their skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

A special mention goes to our Lego Club, who represented the school so well at Tuesday’s Lego Festival, proudly sharing their creative inventions.

Annual Reports were sent home on Monday. We warmly welcome your online acknowledgements and feedback. It’s always a joy to hear your thoughts as we reflect on each child’s progress and growth.

Due to low take-up on stalls, we have postponed our Car Boot Sale and will look to rearrange it when life is a little less busy.

Looking Ahead – Final Week Events:

Tuesday morning is "Move Up Morning", when children spend time with their new class teacher in their new classroom. Please drop your child off at their new classroom door, but collect them as usual at the end of the day.

Wednesday at 2:00pm is our Leavers’ Service at St Bart’s Church, with all of Key Stage 2 there to support our Year 6 leavers. We look forward to marking this important moment together as a school community.

Our Sports' Days are scheduled as follows (all on the Community Field unless stated):

    • Wednesday, 1:30pm – Key Stage 1

    • Thursday, 10:00am – Early Years

    • Thursday, 1:30pm – Key Stage 2

Various end-of-term trips will also take place across the week. Please check class communications for details.

On Friday, children in Class 1 and above are welcome to bring in a toy to play with alongside friends. While electronic devices may be brought in at your own risk, please note that no WiFi connection will be available and cameras must not be used at any point for understandable safeguarding reasons.

The final week of term is always full and sometimes a little overwhelming. But it is also a time of joy, celebration, and looking ahead. As we manage the busyness,  “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Let’s keep going, with kindness, with energy, and with hearts full of gratitude for all that this year has held.

Enjoy the sunshine and something cool this weekend.

    Yours sincerely,

Mr. Restall & The St Bart's Team
